The Economics, Education & Empowerment program at Trillium Family Solutions is always looking for volunteers to help with our programming. We have several opportunities for volunteers with varying levels of time commitment.

Volunteer positions include:

Ways to Work Loan Committee

Loan committee members will help to determine whether or not Ways to Work loan applicants will be passed on to the national office and be eligible for a loan. Volunteers may also help with Trillium Family Solutions special events.

Ohio Benefit Bank Counselor

Ohio Benefit Bank counselors work directly with clients in our community to identify and apply for work support benefits and services. The Ohio Benefit Bank website/online application is used, and volunteers may complete income taxes for clients during tax season as well. OBB counselors may also help with Trillium Family Solutions special events. Required training includes a one-day session to familiarize volunteers with the Ohio Benefit Bank website. This position is available at Alliance, Canton and Massillon locations.

Ohio Benefit Bank Tax Counselor

Benefit Bank tax counselors will work directly with clients and assist them in filing federal and state taxes during tax season. The Benefit Bank tax website is used to file taxes, and training for the website is provided in a one-day class session. This position is available at Alliance, Canton and Massillon locations.

EEE Support Team

EEE support team volunteers will help with projects that EEE team members are completing. This may include office work, scheduling appointments, sending mailers, etc. Additionally, support team members will help clients with the Ohio Benefit Bank quick-check system to determine whether or not they will be eligible for benefits and services. These volunteers will also have the opportunity to assist with special events.
